Show Summary

  • Hangers: swap your hangers over to the thin velvet ones and get a uniform look, otherwise it will look messy. We chat about the different hangers: clip ones for skirts, wooden ones for suits and jackets & coats, velvet hangers for t-shirts, tops and shirts, satin /padded hangers for very delicate items. We don’t like metal hangers for the dry cleaners and we don’t like multi tiered hangers because you can’t see the clothes. Hangers that are too small or too big; don’t put adult clothes on kids hangers.
  • Categorisation: choose a system that works for you and work with the space you have. Create 4 sections; trousers and skirts / jackets and fleeces / tops, t-shirts and light woollens / dresses and coats in long hanging.
  • Knitwear: fold your woollens. Don't hang your heavier woollens since you will stretch your tops
  • Do you need to rotate your clothes? Look at your wardrobe and what kind of clothes do you have and what kind of clothes do you wear when? Think about work wear / casuals / summer / winter / long hanging or 3 quarter. Look at accessibility, logic and compromise, so it works for you.
  • Don't micro-organise and create systems that work for you!
