Join our anti-Black Friday campaign
#Don'tBuyAskWhy
Is Black Friday just another day of buying things you don't need?
You're not alone
Over the past few decades we have become a hugely consumerist society the world over
TV Adverts, social media posts, newspapers, magazines, billboards - everywhere we turn there is someone somewhere prompting us to buy the next new thing.
And we fall for it. We love shiny new things. We love the dopamine hit that comes with a new blouse, a craft magazine or a new candle. It's a little bit of escapism for a short while.
And whilst no-one is saying shopping is a BAD thing - consumer spending is a very real need for our economy - it's fair to say there comes a time when we JUST HAVE TOO MUCH STUFF.
Some of us have been burying our heads in the sand for way too long and we know the time has come when we need to jump in and challenge our relationship with stuff.
And whilst the rest of the world is jumping on to the Black Friday bandwagon to buy more stuff, let's revolt, jump off and focus on having LESS STUFF.
Join the Declutter Hub revolution - well not quite a revolution, but our way of working on changing our mindset to stuff, clutter and wellbeing. We're calling it #Don'tBuyAskWhy. Are you in?
Let's go on our mini-revolution together!
Ingrid and Lesley to the rescue!
If you're going to trust us to help you with something as important as an anti-shopping revolution, then you're going to want to know who we are and why we are the right people to help you along this journey.
Let's cut to the chase.
We've been tackling clutter, the people that have clutter and the clutter mindset for over 29 years between us and we LOVE how decluttering makes people feel and what a difference it makes to the calm in a home.
We would go so far as to say having an orderly, organised home with only those things in it that make you happy is one of the most important things in life.
We have delved into every type of clutter with all kinds of people all over the world and we want to share what we've learnt. We live, eat and breathe decluttering.
It will come as no surprise that shopping is a HUGE problem for lots of people with clutter. Shopping and clutter go hand in hand. So let's make tracks into changing that shopping mindset - it all starts with decluttering and ends with a complete mindset shift.
So if you want to join the #Don'tBuyAskWhy revolution, we'd love to be with you every step of the way.
How does all this work?
Two of our much loved courses, two masterclasses and some challenge replays will take you step by step through your home to help you tackle your most deep seated emotional connections to clutter and help make the lightbulbs go on and your clutter mindset change.
Let's get the decluttering started and guide you room by room throughout your whole home. Emotions and habits, decluttering, categorising, organising, storage and donation are all covered in bite size chunks.
Once we've tackled the main rooms in the house, we will undoubtedly be left with a whole heap of things that we find difficult to part with. We'll tackle sentimental items one category at a time and ensure you are left with quality over quantity.
Once you've decluttered your home top to bottom with the Bootcamp and SOS, those mindset shifts are going to be taking hold but you may still need a helping hand so our Keeping Up Momentum Masterclass session will fill in the gaps.
If you have one of those rooms in your home that feels insurmountable, overwhelming or just plain old scary, let us help you navigate through it. This masterclass is all about how to tackle a room logistically that is very full.
If paperwork is your downfall, you're going to love the replays of our Purge Your Paperwork Challenge. Videos covering car, utilities, shares and investments, bank and credit card statements and insurance are all included to help you hit the ground running if you are embarking on a paperwork declutter.
