Episode 82 – Decluttering craft supplies with guest Jill

Decluttering craft supplies is something that many crafters have to continually focus on but Jill's story takes things to another level. In this podcast, we discuss what led Jill to have hoarding tendencies and how decluttering craft items is a continuing part of her everyday life.

This is such an open, honest and insightful discussion about one woman's journey with hoarding tendencies. In particular, Jill's hoarding led to her needing to continually focus on decluttering craft supplies. Listen in to episode 77 first to get an insight into how Jill's hoarding began. One not to be missed!

    1. So the rest of the house is pretty well decluttered and I’m down to 3 craft rooms (not ideal but better than when I had craft stuff in every room!). I have one room for my Stampin’Up! stuff that’s current and that’s nearly sorted. One room has consumables in 2 kallax units and a large table that I’m using to post stuff as I sell it – going slowly but have already sold £500 worth and that’s scratching the surface. I have had some funny moments (laugh or cry) like when I found 8 die cutting machines – clearly more than I need – but three years ago I’d have just held on to them all. The back room is the horror area still but I’m focussing on one thing at a time rather than my previous scattergun approach. So yes, a way still to go but I’m noticing a massive change in my attitude. I had a load of ‘inherited’ stuff which I’ve finally started to tackle too – jewellery a couple of weeks ago – 7 jewellery boxes down to 2. Next long standing horror is the cameras – I probably have 15, mostly inherited. I working on selling my craft stuff but have also given over 40 large boxes to schools and charities – more will go that way soon but plan to sell good stuff. Thanks for your interest. Are you a crafter?

      1. Thank you so much Jill for your update. So lovely you are willing to share this with us and well done for you continued decluttering, but also having a change in your mindset.
